Triund Trek Height
The highest point of the Triund Trek is about 2,850 meters (9,350 feet) above sea level. From there, you can see amazing views of the Dhauladhar range and the Kangra Valley. It’s not too hard to climb, so anyone can enjoy the trek.
Day 01
- Morning: Get up early and start your journey from McLeod Ganj or Dharamshala to Gallu Devi Temple. It’s the place where the trek begins.
- Mid-morning to Afternoon: Begin walking from Gallu Devi Temple towards Triund. It takes about 3-4 hours to walk there. The path goes through forests and hills.
- Afternoon: When you reach Triund, settle into your accommodation or set up your tent if you’re camping. Take some rest after the walk.
- Evening: As the sun sets, the sky becomes colorful. It’s a beautiful sight from Triund. You can have dinner and relax. If you’re camping, make a campfire and share stories.
Day 02
- Morning: Wake up early to see the sunrise. It’s amazing to watch the sky change colors over the mountains.
- Mid-morning: Have breakfast and explore around Triund. You can walk a bit more to see Snowline or Lahesh Cave if you want.
- Late morning to Afternoon: Start your journey back to Gallu Devi Temple. It’s easier going down but still needs care.
- Afternoon: Reach Gallu Devi Temple and finish your trek. From there, you can go back to McLeod Ganj or Dharamshala.
